Donna Weaver has been a member of DAR for 17 years, having joined the Cheyenne Chapter in 2003. She has served her chapter as Vice Regent and Regent, and served the state as Registrar, Vice Regent, State Regent and Honorary State Regent. Donna was elected Vice President General, first seat, and is honored to serve the National Society for the term 2018-2021. She served as President of the Vice Presidents General Club during her sophomore year.
Donna Weaver (on right, front row) attended the rededication of a monument to mark the Oregon Trail and to honor the memory of Caspar Collins organized by the Fort Caspar Chapter, NSDAR. On July 4, 1920 Mrs. B. B. Brooks, State Regent, originally placed the monument and dedicated it. Her granddaughter, Chapter Regent, Shelly Trumbull (standing to the left of the monument) and her great granddaughter, Kristen Trumbull Moldaschel (standing to the right of the monument) were present at the rededication. Also present were members of the Ft. Caspar Chapter and the state of Wyoming. The marker is located one and a half miles west of Casper where the Yellowstone HIghway #20 crosses the Oregon Trail. The granite marker is about 4 feet high.
